The 2009 EKKA - Wow! What A Great Time! 18th August 2009: We've just returned from the 2009 EKKA in Brisbane. And if you were one of the thousands of people who came to see us there, we'd like to say a big "Thank You!" for making us feel so welcome. This year was only our second year at the EKKA and we were really surprised at how many people who'd seen us at last year's show came back especially to say "G'day!" Throughout the show great Queensland chefs like Peter Howard, Alison Alexander and Andrew Mirosch came onto our stand to do cooking demonstrations using all-Australian peanuts. Festival of Cultures - Childers July, 2009: This year was Childers 14th year of the Childers Cultures Festival and our 4th year of being a part of the festivities. There was an absolute Hive of action for all that attended, speaking of hives, staff member Barb was dressed as a Bee to promote our Ginger and Honey and Honey Roast Flavours' (see picture) and Meredith dressed as a Mexican promoting our ever popular flavour Mexican Delight which tied in nicely with this years theme “Rumba around the Region”. Meredith even got involved with the “Singing Chefs” dancing up a storm. It’s a great day out for young and old. Mark it next year’s calendar, the last Sunday in July.
